Course Details

Minimum Age: 20 years (medically fit)

Education: 12th Grade Pass OR
- Pursuing the 1st year of an undergraduate degree OR
- Completed the 2nd year of a 3-year diploma after 10th grade OR
- Pursuing the 3rd year of a 3-year diploma after 10th grade OR
- Pursuing the 1st year of a 2-year diploma after 12th grade OR
- 10th Grade pass plus 3 years of vocational education and training OR
- 8th Grade pass with 2 years of NTC, plus 1 year NAC, plus 1 year CITS OR
- Previous relevant qualification at NSQF Level 4 with a minimum education of 8th Grade and 1 year of relevant experience OR

Learnings

  • Discuss and verbalize the role and responsibilities of a Geriatric Caregiver.

  • Demonstrate techniques to maintain the personal hygiene needs of elderly patients.

  • Assist with medication care under supervision.

  • Identify risk factors/events and report them immediately.

  • Provide basic healthcare, nutrition, and support for daily living activities.

  • Apply first aid and follow infection control protocols.
